Biography engraver: Gaetano Zancon (1771-1816) was an Italian engraver. He published separate plates, as well as sets of outline etchings after old masters. William Hamilton (1751-1801) was an English painter and illustrator. Hamilton’s style is similar to that of Angelica Kauffman and shows influence of the cult of sentiment of the period.
