BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Biography engraver: C. Philips was an 18th-century engraver known for his detailed work on topographical prints.

Biography artist: Jan de Beyer (1703-1780) was a Swiss-born Dutch draughtsman known for his drawings of town and village views in the Netherlands.
