Made by Christoffel van Sichem I after an anonymous artist. Christoffel van Sichem I (1546-1624) was active as printmaker/publisher in Amsterdam and Leiden. He spent some years in Antwerp. Christoffel and his brother Karel van Sichem (1575-1604) were both active as graphic artists. They fled from the Southern Netherlands to the Northern Netherlands in the end of the sixteenth century. He was the father of Christoffel van Sichem II (1581-1658).

Condition: Fair, given age. No margins, cut out from larger sheet. A few tiny spots. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
