Original print, captioned “1. Baleinopteremuseau pointu, vue de cote, 2. id. vue par dessous, 3. Machoire superieure de la Baleinopetere. Le Fanon, pl. 8”. The Common Minke Whale, seen from the side, from the bottom, and its jaw. This original print originates from: ‘Oeuvres du Comte de Lacepede, comprenant l’Histoire Naturelle des Quadrupedes Ovipares, des Serpents, des Poissons et des Cetaces.’ (Bruxelles: Lejeune, 1832-33). *Nissen ZBI, 2344. Condition: Very good given age, general age-related toning to the sheet edges, some small spots. Please study scan carefully.
