This engraved plate originates from: ‘Nymegen, de oude hoofdstad der Batavieren, in dichtmaat beschreven, en met aantekeningen, de oudheden van de stad, en die van het quartier van Nymegen betreffende, opgeheldert Door H.K. Arkstee. Met printafbeeldingen.’, 1st ed. published by Petrus Mortier, Amsterdam, 1733. Later editions in 1738 and 1788. This is a description of the history, city and region of Nijmegen, The Netherlands.Artists and Engravers: Author: Hans Kasper Arkstee (Dutch, c. 1700-1776). From 1734-1780 he was associated with his half-brotrher H. Merkus as bookdealers in Amsterdam and Leipzig.

Condition: Good. General age related toning and light staining. Please study scan.
