Original print, titled: ‘Wappen des Herrn Joseph Martonfi von Csik Mindszent, Bischofs zu Siebenbürgens.’. It shows: the coat of arms of the Bishop of Siebenburgen. Csikmindszent is also known as Misentea or Mindszent. The coat of arms is a crowned shield featuring a pigeon with an olive branch standing atop a mountain top. Above the shield are Bishopric regalia (staff, hat, mitre). This print originates from ‘Neues Adeliches Wappenwerk’, 1809.Artists and Engravers: By an unknown engraver after Konrad Tyroff. Konrad Tyroff (died 1826) was a German heraldist. He published several books with coats of arms.
Condition: Excellent, given age. Margins minimally browned. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
