Biography engraver: James Hopwood the younger (active 1795-1849) English painter and stipple engraver for magazines and annuals; son of James Hopwood I (1752-1819), trained at the RA schools and exhibited both painted and engraved portraits from 1801. In Paris 1828-1850 (Beraldi).
