This optical print shows a view of the London exchange (title), the building and people in the street. Lots of carriages with horses in front. One in the forground has been tumbled down and people pushing the carriage back. Well to do people walking in the street.

This attractive print was published in London in 1751.

Made by ‘Pierre Joseph Moithey’ after ‘anonymous’. Pierre Joseph Moithey (1760-18..) was a french printmaker and a caricaturist.

Condition: Good, given age. Some creases in the middle. Remains of paper and glue on the reverse. Thin paper spots and hole in upper left corner, backed. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
