Made by after an anonymous artist.

Medium: Mezzotint engraving, coloured a la poupee on wove paper.

Sheet size: 56 x 38 cm (22.05 x 14.96 inch). Image size: 37 x 30 cm. (14.57 x 11.81 inch).

Condition: good, given age. Paper browned on the right, outside image area. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

This original antique print was published in Paris by Jazet ca. 1820. Artists and Engravers: This plate by Carle Vernet.

Biography engraver: Antoine Charles Horace Vernet aka. Carle Vernet (1758 – 1836) was a French painter, the youngest child of Claude Joseph Vernet, and the father of Horace Vernet.
