Made by William Holl after Abraham Wivell. William Holl, the elder (1771–1838) was an English engraver, thought to be of German background, and a political radical. Abraham Wivell (1786-1849) was a British portrait painter, writer and pioneer of fire protection, credited with inventing the first effective fire escape system.
Condition: Good, given age. Light foxing. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
