Engraving/etching on hand laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 14,7 x 21,5 cm. (5,8 x 8,5 inch). Image size: 13,5 x 20,4 cm. (5,3 x 8 inch).

Engraved for M. de Corbinelli’s “l’Histoire genealogique de la maison de Gondi”, published c. 1705.

Made by C. Duflos after A. Pezey. Claude Duflos (Paris 1665-1727) was a reknown French engraver. It is not known by whom he was instructed, but his style resembles that of Francois de Poilly.

Condition: Good, given age. Paper slightly browned. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
