Published in London by W. Shropshire in 1778.
Made by Francesco Bartolozzi after Francis Cotes. Francesco Bartolozzi (1725-1815) was a famous Italian engraver known for his refined stipple engraving, whose most productive period was spent in London. Francis Cotes (1726-1770) was an English painter, pioneer of English pastel painting.
Condition: Good, given age. Trimmed within plate marks. Some thin paper spots. Bottom left corner with some paper loss, backed. Light soiling. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
