Map: ‘Carte particuliere des environs de Bosleduc et Helmont.’ (Map of ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Helmond and surroundings). This original antique map was published by Covens & Mortier in 1747. Ref: Koeman (1967-1971) II, 85, (C&M 19). Kuyer (1978-1981) II, 38/39, 112.Artists and Engravers: Pieter und David Mortier were booksellers in Paris and have published a wide range of geographical works. After Pieter’s death, his widow continued the business until their son Cornelius took over. Cornelius started a partnership with his brother-in-law Johannes Covens and established the famous publishing house “Covens and Mortier” in Amsterdam. They have re-issued Atlases of Sanson, de l’Isle, Visscher and de Wit.

Condition: Excellent given age. Two folds, as issued. Some discolouration in the left most fold, a small stain in the lower right margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional light stains from handling. Please study scan carefully.
