Mezzotint on hand laid (verge) paper.

Made by Wallerant Vaillant after own design. Wallerant Vaillant (1623–1677) was a painter of the Dutch Golden Age and one of the first artists to use the mezzotint technique, which he probably helped to develop.

Condition: Good, given age. Light creasing. Very nice impression with ample margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
