BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Desguerrois printed a long series of flower and plant lithographs by Anton Weiss. This is one of them.
Biography engraver: This plate by Anton Weiss (1801-1851), a Austrian lithographer and painter of still lives of flowers, fruit and feral. He studied in Amsterdam under J.A. Daiwaille. Desguerrois was a Dutch lithographic publisher (active 1813-1874).
