Original print, captioned “1. Le Dauphin Nesarnack, 2. Le Dauphin a deux dents, pl.20”, showing the Bottlenose and Two-toothed species of dolphin. This original print originates from: ‘Oeuvres du Comte de Lacepede, comprenant l’Histoire Naturelle des Quadrupedes Ovipares, des Serpents, des Poissons et des Cetaces.’ (Bruxelles: Lejeune, 1832-33). *Nissen ZBI, 2344. Artists and Engravers: Unsigned plate, by Th. Lejeune after the design of Lacepede. Bernard Germain Comte de Lacepede (1756-1825) was a French naturalist, successor to Buffon.

Condition: Very good given age, general age-related toning to the sheet edges, some small spots. Please study scan carefully.
