(1. Black-necked Aracari, it is found in Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, and Venezuela, 2. Toco Toucan, it is found in semi-open habitats throughout a large part of central and eastern South America.)

Made by an anonymous engraver after Pierre Auguste Joseph Drapiez (1778-1856).

Engraving with original hand colouring, heightened with arabic gum on wove (vellin) paper.

Sheet size: 16.7 x 24.6 cm (6.57 x 9.69 inch).

Condition: very good, given age. Light text ghosting. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Drapiez. published in Brussels, 1853. This work elaborates on the work of Buffon, Daubenton, Lacepede, Cuvier, de Jussieu a.o. Artists and Engravers: Pierre Auguste Joseph Drapiez (1778-1856) was a Belgian naturalist.
