Medium: Engraving/etching on hand laid (verge) paper.

Condition: good, given age. Light foxing. Edges browned with an occasinoal small crease and tiny tears, not affecting image area. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Francois Morellon de La Cave (1696–1768), a French-Dutch etcher and engraver of Huguenot origin. He is best remembered for creating iconic 18th-century portraits and collaborating with prominent artists like William Hogarth.

Biography artist: Pieter de Hondt, Dutch publisher and bookseller (1696–1764).
