Three watch cases in the shape of crucifixes. Each is intricately decorated, and fitted with a timepiece.

Medium: Handcoloured engraving with gold heightening on wove (vellin) paper.
Sheet size: 20 x 27.5 cm (7.87 x 10.83 inch). Image size: 19 x 25 cm. (7.48 x 9.84 inch).
Condition: good, given age. Light foxing. Light ghosting from previous matting. Tear in middle right paper edge, backed. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This print originates from the Horlogerie volume of ‘Collection arche?ologique du Prince Pierre Soltykoff’, a large work by Pierre Dubois, with illustrations by Clerget and Racinet. Published 1858 in Paris.
Biography engraver: Charles Saunier (1815-1889) was a French engraver. Albert Racinet (1825-1893) was a French painter and draughtsman.
