Made by Jacob Hoefnagel after Joris George Hoefnagel. Jacob Hoefnagel (1573-c.1632) was a Flemish painter, printmaker, miniaturist, draftsman, art dealer, diplomat, merchant and politician. He was the oldest son of Joris Hoefnagel. Joris Hoefnagel (1542-1601) was a Flemish painter, printmaker, miniaturist, draftsman, art dealer, diplomat, merchant and politician. He is noted for his illustrations of natural history subjects, topographical views, illuminations and mythological works. Condition: Good, given age. Trimmed at or within plate mark. Small hole near stem of pear. Top paper edge a bit chipped, partly backed. Right paper a bit thinner. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
