Engraving on hand laid paper. Watermark: Dutch Garden pro Patria.
Sheet size: 16,4 x 21,2 cm. (6,5 x 8,3 inch). Image size: 12,5 x 17,8 cm. (4,9 x 7 inch).

This is a later 18th.c ed. of a print originally published in ‘Physica …’, chapter ‘Tractatus de Clementis’, by Petrus Damman (1634-1692) and Cornelius Faes (died 1694), in 1669-1670.

Made by ‘Michael Haye (Flemish artist and publisher; died 1676)’ after an anonymous artist.

Condition: Good, given age. Plate rather worn. Light soiling. Trimmed near plate mark. Thin paper spot at top left, reinforced on rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
