From ‘Collection of Etruscan, Greek and Roman Antiquities from the cabinet of the honourable William Hamilton, by sir William Hamilton (1730-1803) and Pierre d’Hancarville (1719-1805), published in Naples 1766. Made by ‘Anthony Cardon’ after ‘Giuseppe Bracci’. Antoine-Alexandre-Joseph Cardon (1739-1822), also known as Cardon the elder to distinguish him from his son Anthony Cardon, was a Belgian painter, portraitist and engraver. He was a highly enthusiastic member of Freemasonry.

Condition: Very good, given age. Light soiling. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
