‘TAB.IV.’
Description: This rare original antique print originates from ‘Anatomischer Atlas des menschlichen Körpers in natürlicher Größe, Lage und Verbindung der Theile […]’, by Dr. M.I. Weber, published 1830-1833 (second ed. 1835—1841) in large folio with 84 plates (English ed. 1831—33; French ed. 1834). This ed. was published in Düsseldorf by Arnz & Co.
Artists and Engravers: Moritz Ignaz Weber (1795-1875) was aa German Physician and Anatomist from Landshut. Weber was Professor der vergleichenden und pathologischen Anatomie at the University of Bonn. He made several anatomical/medical works including the largest anatomical book in the world with the same title (1,90×0,90 meter !).
Condition: Good. General age-related toning and light staining. Ocasionally a small tear in the edges, including one at top right, not effecting image . Please study scan carefully.
Medium: Etching / engraving, with some hand colouring on a vellin type paper.
Size (in cm): The overall size is ca. 72 x 52 cm. The image size is ca. 60 x 40 cm.
