Plate 75: ‘Een gezelschap van Bisschoppen die op een gastmaal by nacht zich met drank overladen’ (A group of bishops drinking themselves into a stupor after a meal). It shows: A large group of people seated at a table, being served food and drink. This original engraving originates from ‘Tafereelen der eerste Christenen, bestaande in 92 konstprenten’ (Scenes of the first Christians, in 92 prints). This book was published in 1740 in Amsterdam by Gerrity de Groot and Jacobus Rijkhof. The prints by Luyken are accompanied by texts by P. Langendyk and C.
