Engraving on hand laid (verge) paper. Watermark: Unicorn.
Sheet size: 11,7 x 7,9 cm. (4,6 x 3,1 inch). Image size: 10,9 x 7,2 cm. (4,3 x 2,8 inch).

Made by ‘Lucas van Leyden’ after own design. Lucas van Leyden (1494 – 1533), also named either Lucas Hugensz or Lucas Jacobsz, a Dutch engraver and painter, born and mainly active in Leiden. Lucas van Leyden was among the first Dutch exponents of genre painting and is generally regarded as one of the finest engravers in the history of art.

Condition: Good, given age. Slight paper loss in top left corner, backed. Some light paper spots. Small tear in bottom left corner backed. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
