Perrault’s ‘Les Hommes illustres (…)’ (Paris, Dezallier, 1696-1700)

Made by Gerard Edelinck after an anonymous artist. Gerard Edelinck / Edelink (1640-1707) was a Flemish engraver from Antwerp. He mostly worked in Paris, where he built a great reputation. He was a student of Jasper Huberti and Cornelis Galle in Antwerp and worked with Poilly and Nanteuil in Paris. He became engraver to the King and later a member of the Academy in 1677.

Condition: Good, given age. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
