Artists and Engravers: The author and etcher / engraver of this work is Bernard Picart (1673-1733). He was a French painter. He was born in Paris and died in Amsterdam. Pietro Testa (1611-1650) was an Italian High Baroque artist, best known, both to his contemporaries and modern appreciation, as a printmaker and draftsman, who was active in Rome.
