From the series Landschaftlein vom Oberrhein, consisting of 6 sheets by Matthaus Merian, published by Peter Aubry II (1596-1666), a Strasbourg publisher active in the first half of the 17th century.

Biography engraver: Matthaus Merian the Elder (1593-1650) was a Swiss engraver and publisher, best known for his detailed town views and maps. He worked in Frankfurt and produced the famous Topographia Germaniae.
