A startled young couple in embrace, as the girl’s mother is looking in through the window, and a cat is hissing from the windowsill. The fright apparently caused her to trip over a basket with eggs.

Medium: Handcoloured stipple and line engraving. on hand laid (verge), backed with wove paper.

Condition: good, given age. Image fine. Several thin paper spots and small tear. Plate fully backed. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
