Condition: good, given age. Margins a little soiled, a small crease from the left margin into the caption below the image. Remains of paper and tape on rear from previous attachment. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Francois Bernard Lepicie (1698-1755) was a French engraver from a family of engravers. He became secretary and historiographer of the Academie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture, in which capacity he compiled a catalogue of the paintings in the French royal collection and an important set of lives of the Premiers Peintres du Roi.

Biography artist: Charles-Antoine Coypel (1694-1752) was a French painter, art commmentator and playwright. He was the son of Antoine Coypel and grandson Noel Coypel.
