Antique print, untitled. Illustration to the Iliad (?) featuring Odysseus. In the foreground a captive man accompanied by sa group of captors, while in the background a city is being razed and looted by an army landing with boats. One of a set of 58 plates titled ‘Les Travaux d’Ulysse’ after frescoes Le Primatice and Niccolo Dell’Abate. Published by Mariette in ca. 1640.. Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after Theodore van Thulden. Theodor van Thulden (1606-1669?).

Condition: Good, given age. Margins cropped to the plate mark. Edges a little uneven. Margins and image faintly soiled. Weakness in the paper in the top left corner. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
