Provenance: Former dealer annotation on rear: ‘Chez Naudet Mc’ aux Louvre 1818.’.

Biography engraver: Claes J. Visscher, II, Claes Jansz. Visscher, the younger, Nicolas (Claes) Jansz. Visscher, II (1586-1652).

Biography artist: Willem / Guilliam van Nieulandt II (1584-1635) was a Flemish artist, poet, and engraver active in Antwerp and Amsterdam. He is known for classical and Italianate landscapes after Bril and others.
