This portrait was titled to be Sir Thomas More (1478-1535), but is now considered an anonymous oriental head.

Made by Jerome David after monogrammist RH.

Medium: Engraving / etching on hand laid (verge) paper. Watermark: grapes.

Sheet size: 18.9 x 22.5 cm (7.44 x 8.86 inch).

Condition: fair, given age. Some soiling. Slight paper loss at top paper edge. 2 small tears in bottom left and right paper edge. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
