Charles-Antoine Coypel (1684-1752) was a French painter of historical, mythological, genre scenes and portraits. He made water-colours and pastels, designs, illustrations and also was and engraver.

Anne Claude de Tubieres-Grimoard de Pestels de Levis, comte de Caylus, marquis d’Esternay, baron de Bransac (1692-1765) was a French antiquarian, collector, proto-archaeologist, engraver and man of letters.
