Biography engraver: Richard Earlom (1743-1822) was a British mezzotint engraver known for reproductive prints after old masters; worked extensively with John Boydell on the Liber Veritatis project.

Biography artist: Claude Gellee, called Le Lorrain (1600-1682) was a French Baroque painter and draughtsman, famed for his idealized landscapes and mastery of light.
