Medium: Copper engraving on hand laid (verge) paper.

Sheet size: 44.5 x 31 cm (17.52 x 12.2 inch). Image size: 34.6 x 23.7 cm. (13.62 x 9.33 inch).

Condition: very good, given age. Light foxing, soiling and creasing. Paper edges with some chipping and small tears. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Reference: Wien Museum, Inventarnummer 105765/56.

Biography engraver: Georg Daniel Heumann (1691?1750) was a German engraver active in N?rnberg. Known for topographical and architectural engravings, including collaborations with Kleiner.

Biography artist: Salomon Kleiner (1700?1761), Austrian architectural draughtsman renowned for his highly detailed urban and palace views of Vienna and its surroundings.
