Condition: very good, given age. Light soiling and minimal foxing in margins. Strong impression, sheet with wide margins and no tears. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Possibly Antoine Maurin (1793-1860), French engraver and lithographer, known for historical and portrait prints; Villain possibly refers to Fran?ois Villain, known for lithographic reproduction in early 19th century France.

Biography artist: Anne-Louis Girodet (1767-1824), pupil of Jacques-Louis David, French painter associated with Romanticism and Neoclassicism. Known for emotionally dramatic and poetic compositions.
