Condition: fair, given age. Repaired large tear, with some paper loss at top right. Edges with a few small tears. Horizontal crease in caption area. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Pierre Aveline (1656-1722) was a French engraver, print-publisher and print-seller. He was born in Paris as the head of a family of artists. His main works are reproductions of other artists’ works. His sons Pierre-Alexandre and Antoine were both artists.
Biography artist: Francois Boucher (1703-1770) was a French painter, who was a proponent of the Rococo style. Boucher is known for his idyllic and voluptuous paintings on classical themes, decorative allegories, and pastoral scenes. He was perhaps the most celebrated decorative artist of the 18th century.
