Biography engraver: Emile Adelard Breton (1831-1902) was a French painter and etcher from Courrieres. He is the brother of the painter Jules Breton, from he received his first lessons. Bur he was mostly self-taught. He exposed at the Salon from 1861 and was decorated three times from 1866-1868. Vincent van Gogh admired his work.
