A preacher is on the right of a pulpit or pulley. Behind him there are three men on the stairs to the pulpit. The church is filled with listeners.

Condition: good, given age. Good, given age. A few light crinkles. Very light vertical crease. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
From the series ‘Cathedrum exempla’, by Jean Le Pautre, published by Pieter Schenk c. 1670-1690.
Biography engraver: Jean le Pautre / Lepautre (1618-1682) was a French designer and engraver. Le Pautre was an apprentice to a carpenter and builder. In addition to learning mechanical and constructive work, he developed considerable skill with the pencil. His designs, innumerable in quantity and exuberant in content, consisted mainly of ceilings, friezes, chimney-pieces, doorways and mural decorations. He also devised fire-dogs, sideboards, cabinets, console tables, mirrors and other pieces of furniture.
