By: Francesco Bartolozzi after Piazzetta. Francesco Bartolozzi (1725-1815) was a famous Italian engraver known for his refined stipple engraving, whose most productive period was spent in London. Giovanni Battista Piazzetta (1682 – 1754) was an Italian painter and draughtsman from Venice, best known for his genre paintings and drawings of expressive heads.
