Biography engraver: Richard Earlom (1743-1822) was an reknown English mezzotint engraver. He displayed great skill as a draughtsman, and at the same time acquired without assistance the art of engraving in mezzotint.
Biography artist: Johan Joseph Zoffany (1733-1810) was a German-born painter active in England, known for theatrical group portraits and conversation pieces, often capturing British high society and cultural life.
