Description
The print depicts a Pierrot figure, dressed in traditional white costume, standing on a platform and conducting a choir of cats. The cats are arranged in rows, some sitting, others standing, as they follow the conductor. The scene is light-hearted and whimsical.
Made by an anonymous engraver after Lemercier.
Medium: Chromo lithograph on wove (vellin) paper.
Sheet size: 25.5 x 33 cm (10.04 x 12.99 inch). Image size: 18.5 x 24 cm. (7.28 x 9.45 inch).
Condition: very good, given age. The print is in very good condition with slight toning at the edges. There is minor wear consistent with age, but the colors remain vibrant and the image is sharp. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
