Condition: very good, given age. Light soiling and creasing. Fold in lower right corner. Wide margins. Three backed tears along the bottom edge. Small tear at op right margin. Paper separation along left plate edge, partly backed. Paper separation along right plate edge. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Cornelis Cort (c. 1533-1578) was a Dutch engraver and draughtsman known for his refined and powerful line work. He worked in Italy and the Netherlands and was associated with renowned publishers such as Hieronymus Cock and later the Medici in Rome.
Biography artist: Maarten van Heemskerck (1498-1574) was a Dutch painter and draughtsman from Haarlem, famous for his designs for prints and religious works. He traveled to Italy and absorbed classical influences, which he merged with Northern traditions.
