Plate : ‘Cynometra Cauliflora L.’ (Chempedak, Namnam). This original plate originates ‘Fleurs, Fruits et Feuillages Choisis de l’Ile de Java’ [Selected Flowers, Fruit and Foliage from the Island of Java], 1836-1837.Artists and Engravers: This plate by G. Severeyns after Berthe Hoola van Nooten. G. Severeyns was a Belgian lithographer. Berthe Hoola van Nooten (1817-1892) was a Dutch botanical artist, noted for her illustrations on the flowers and fruit of Java.

Condition: Good. General age-related toning. Tear left side just outside image area. Please study scan carefully.
