Medium: engraving / etching with hand colouring on hand laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 29.5 x 42 cm (11.61 x 16.54 inch). Image size: 16.5 x 20.7 cm. (6.5 x 8.15 inch).
Condition: good, given age. Some spots, mainly in the margins. Irregular edges as issued, with an occasional tiny tear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
No. 121 from a series of figure studies, published by Frederik Bloemaert c. 1640. Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Frederik Bloemaert’ after ‘Abraham Bloemaert’.
Biography engraver: Frederik Bloemaert (Utrecht ca. 1614-1690) was a Dutch printmaker and draftsman.
Biography artist: Abraham Bloemaert (1566-1651) was a Dutch painter and etcher/engraver. He was one of the ‘Haarlem Mannerists’, but shifted towards a more Baroque style around 1600.
