Antique Master Print, untitled. Man wearing turban in right profile before building with arcaded facade & campanile. Many figures in the background including jousting figures on horseback. From the series Standing Cavaliers and Ladies consisting of 10 prints. Ref: Hollstein 55. Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘S. Saverij’ after ‘P. Quast’. Salomon Savery / Saverij (1594-1683) was an engraver from the Dutch artist family Savery. He was born in Amsterdam and died in Haarlem. He travelled to England in 1632. Pieter Jansz. Quast (1606-ca. 1647) was active as painter and etcher in the Hague. He specialised in genre scenes.

Condition: Very good, given age. Cropped to or inside plate mark. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
