Biography engraver: Johannes Wierix (1549-1618) was a Flemish engraver and draughtsman, known for his intricate and detailed works. He was part of a family of engravers and worked extensively on religious themes.

Biography artist: Maarten van Heemskerck (1498-1574) was a Dutch painter and draughtsman, known for his depictions of religious scenes and his influence on the development of Mannerism in the Netherlands.
