Made by Basire after Lambert of Lewes.
Medium: Handcoloured etching / engraving. on hand laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 29.2 x 22 cm (11.5 x 8.66 inch). Image size: 23 x 19.5 cm. (9.06 x 7.68 inch).
Condition: good, given age. Light foxing. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This print probably originates from John Watson’s ‘Memoirs of the Ancient Earls of Warren and Surrey, and their descendants to the present time’, 2 vols. first published in Warrington, 1782.
Biography engraver: James Basire I (1730-1802) was a British printmaker. William Blake was his pupil. William’s son was also an engraver, who worked in a very similar style. James Lambert of Lewes the Elder (1725-1788) was a British landscape painter and musician.
