Biography engraver: Hendrik Josef Franciscus Van Der Poorten (1789?1874) was a Belgian engraver and painter known for his landscapes and animal depictions. He practiced etching, aquatint, and lithography and studied under Guillaume Herreyns at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp.
